The 2008 Alliance Heritage Days celebration is now history and now our attention turns to the annual Box Butte County Fair in Hemingford.
Again this year the fair is offering five grandstand shows for one low price.
Whitney Morava of the fair office in Hemingford says the tickets -- which are priced at $25 for reserved seating and $23 for general admisssion -- includes the August 3 Enduro, August 7 Queen Contest, August 8 Nebraska Power Pullers Association Truck Pull, August 9 Emerson Drive concert, and August 10 Demolition Derby.
Tickets may be purchased at the fair office in Hemingford or at Bank of the West in Alliance.
Fair activities actually begin this weekend with the fairgrounds clean-up day this Saturday, July 26 and the Open Class Horse Show on Sunday, July 27.
On Thursday, July 31, clothing and modeling judging will be held.
The theme for this year's fair is: "Best in the State in 2008."
