An Alliance man has been ordered to serve a prison term of two to three years for his conviction of fourth offense drunk driving.
31-year-old Clifford Caudell was sentenced during proceedings held in Box Butte County District Court Wednesday morning.
Alliance police arrested Caudell after a routine traffic stop in the area of Tenth and Buchfinck earlier this year. A test revealed Caudell had a blood alcohol level of .129.
Judge Brian Silverman also sentenced Caudell to one to two years for driving under suspension and ordered the two sentences to be served consecutive to one another.
Caudell had previously been convicted of drunk driving three times in Box Butte County.
Also in District Court Wednesday morning, 20-year-old Samuel Mullins of Alliance was ordered to serve a prison sentence of two to three years for violating the terms of his probation. Mullins was serving a three-year-probation for his conviction of burglarizing the McDonald's Restaurant in Alliance in 2006. Judge Silverman had ordered Mullins to refrain from consuming any alcohol. However, Mullins was arrested by Alliance police in July of this year for driving under the influence of alcohol. His alcohol blood content tested at .138.
