The Cat Shack will be the beneficiary of the Chadron Wal-Mart's 10th Annual Charity Fishing Tournament Saturday, June 5 at the Box Butte Reservoir (10 miles north of Hemingford, Nebraska). The tournament is open to all ages and cash prizes will be awarded for the top three fish by length for four categories: largemouth bass, Northern Pike, Walleye and pan fish (perch, bluegill, crappie and Rock Bass). Additional door prizes will also be given.

Registration begins at 6 a.m. at the fish cleaning station with the tournament at 7 a.m. Check in is at 3 p.m. on the beach in the northeast corner of the lake. Concessions will be available before the tournament begins and during the day.

Anglers may enter one fish per category. This is a single person tournament, but multiple anglers per boat will be allowed. The entry fee is $15 per person with proceeds from the tournament to go to the Cat Shack/Hemingford Youth Center.

All Nebraska Game and Parks rules and regulations apply. Contract your local Chadron Wal-Mart sporting goods department for additional details.
