ALLIANCE CITY MANAGER CANDIDATES NARROWED TO FIVE

The Alliance City Council has narrowed the field of candidates for the position of City Manager to five.

The council met in executive session Thursday night and reviewed 11 profiles that were selected from a field of 56 applicants by the city's search firm, Brimeyer Fursman of St. Paul, Minnesota.

The five finalists will be interviewed on September 10 and 11.

They are:

Stephen Giesbrecht, who currently serves as the city administrator in Electra, Texas;

J.D. Cox, who currently is employed as the city administrator for Neodesha, Kansas;

Brian Trapp, who currently serves as the executive director of the Southeast Iowa Regional Planning Commission;

Harold Stewart, who currently serves as the city manager in Ogallala, Nebraska;

Michael Cramer, who is currently employed as the director of transportation for the city of Greensboro, North Carolina.
