Please support a Box Butte County Soldiers Donation Drive!!!!

Bring a military care package valued at $20 or more or donate $20 cash and you'll be entered in a drawing for a grand prize that includes an Alliance Country Club dinner for two, one night at the Holiday Inn Jacuzzi suite, flowers from Sweet Bre's, and champagne from Kloch's Liquor.

Second prize is a gift basket from Thiele Pharmacy and Gifts, and the Third prize is a patriotic mosaic flower pot.

Donations of supplies and cash should be taken to the Alliance Chamber of Commerce office at 111 West Third Street.

The drawing will take place on Friday, October 1 at 2 p.m. live on KCOW Radio.

The items will be shipped to the soldiers to be received prior to Christmas.

All monetary donations will be used to purchase items for care packages for Box Butte County soldiers.

The BNSF Railway will pay all shipping costs.

Suggested donation items include: (feel free to donate other items)

Grocery Items -- Coffee, filters, individual drink flavor packets such as Gatorade, Crystal Light, and Kool Aid, Beef Jerky (pork not allowed), hard candy (no chocolate as it melts) licorice, gum, trail mix, dried fruit, cookies, salsa, granola bars, Chex mix, instant oatmeal and Ramen noodles.

Toiletries -- Wet-Wipes, toothpaste, toothbrushes, foot powder, lotion, deodorant, aspirin, chap stick, mouthwash, and cough drops.

Entertainment -- New or gently used magazines, playing cards, travel sized games, batteries for the soldiers' electronic devices and new or used DVDs.
