ACCELERATED READING PROGRAM: Mrs. Kaping, the school librarian, has provided an information sheet with this week's newsletter that explains the Accelerated Reader (AR) program that is used a St. Agnes Academy. We invited all parents to read this information and contact Mrs. Kaping or a classroom teacher, if they have any questions.
GROCERY KART RECEIPTS: St. Agnes Academy will again collect Grocery Kart Receipts starting on Wednesday, September 1st. We are very grateful to all of you who have brought in receipts in the past. Last year we were able to purchase a digital video camera. This is a very worthwhile project for St. Agnes. Please send your receipts to school with your child or leave them in the boxes at Holy Rosary or the Parish Center entrance.
SAY ELECTION RESULTS: St. Agnes Youth organization elected class representatives last week and the results are as follows: Eighth grade-Brian Gould and Kyle Krantz, Seventh grade-Molly Oligmueller, Maggie Otto, Cayla Tritle and Mackenzie Allen, Sixth grade-Katie Failor and Trajan Garcia, Fifth grade-Lane Applegarth, Dani Carter, Josie Otto, Dylan Horton, Bailey Johnson and Madisen McCance, and Fourth grade-Ryley Rolls, Megan Oligmueller, Blythe Boness and Nolan Sughroue. Ms. Schmeits is the SAY sponsor for this school year. Their first meeting is Wednesday, September 1st at 3:25 pm in room 301.
SCHOOL INFORMATION PAPERS: Parents please make sure that you notify the school office of any changes of address and phone numbers for your family for this year. Also, it is very important that the school office have all medical information and procedures for your children on file. These two items are very important and need to be done immediately.
LUNCH SCHEDULE CHANGES: Due to the two early dismissals last week, our lunch schedule has changed for the last three days of this week. On September 1st - Hot ham and cheese sandwich, rice pilaf, salad, fruit and cookie, on September 2nd - chicken patty, mashed potatoes & gravy, corn and rice krispy bar, and on September 3rd - Frito pie, biscuit, salad, and fruit will be served. Thank you to this weeks volunteers in the lunchroom: Spring Burks, Clara Roes, JoAnne Failor, Babe Weed, Catherine Walter, Millie Abbot, Jenni Burri, Linda Taylor, Brenda Thomas, Sister Marietta, Theresa Dykes, Sister Mabel, Tami McCarville, and Cody Wignall. Thank you, also to Clara Roes for the new dishtowels. Other volunteers are always welcome.
