Transforming the former Nebraska Boys Ranch south of Alliance into a Boys Center for Teen Challenge of the Midlands based in Colfax, Iowa continues to move forward.

Earlier this month, Karl and Jacque Cox were hired to serve as the directors of the center.  The Cox couple had worked at a children's home in Houston, TX for three years before returning to Nebraska.

Teen Challenge of the Midlands exists to bring Christ-centered hope to hurting men and women, and help troubled youth find new life in Christ.   The Morrill County facility is now known as the Teen Challenge Oregon Trail Boys Ranch.

Jacque and Karl are now residing at the ranch, and Jacque says the property needs to experience repairs before it can house any youth.

Karl says he and his wife are busy making community connections and outlining a plan for financial assistance for the center.   His contact number is 308-458-7038 or k.cox@tcmid.org

Andy Company of Broadwater purchased the 17,000-acre Nebraska Boy's Ranch from the Snow Redfern Memorial Foundation in May, 2011, and the donation of the campus to Teen Challenge was finalized in June.

Previously, the Nebraska Boy's Ranch operated from 1965 until 2010, and served over 900 youth from across the country.
