FOURTH QUARTER: This week is the beginning of the fourth quarter of school here at St. Agnes
Academy. I hope that the staff and parents will make every effort to make this a great finish to a good school year. We would like to focus on attendance, preparation for class, and controlling our student's daily schedules as the weather changes and after school activities increase. We hope to complete many more projects and areas of achievement in each subject area during the final quarter.
PARENT/TEACHER CONFERENCES: SAA Parent/Teacher Conferences will be held this Thursday, March 11th from 2:00-8:00 pm. The staff looks forward to meeting with parents to reinforce the communication about your child's academic and social life here at school.
SPRING BOOK FAIR: Please join us at SAA for the Spring Book Fair on Wednesday, March 10th from 10:00 am-4:00 pm and on Thursday, March 11th from 2:00-8:00 pm. We will be set up in the Parish Center Gym. Come check out the fantastic selection.
NO SCHOOL: SAA will not have school on Thursday, March 11th or Friday, March 12th.
GROCERY KART RECEIPTS: SAA would like to remind everyone that the last day that we can accept Grocery Kart receipts for the year is on Wednesday, March 31st. Thank you for your support.
SCHOOL MASS: Mass at St. Agnes Academy on Wednesday, will be for grades 3 & 4 at 9:00 am, in the Parish Chapel.
MUSIC DEPARTMENT NOTES: The Show Choir of St. Agnes Academy will be attending the Chadron State College Jazz Festival on Monday, March 22nd. New T-shirts for the Show Choir are in, members need to pay their $12, and pick them up as soon as possible. No Show Choir practice March 11th, due to schedule conflicts. The next practice will be on Thursday, March 18th. "Dear Edwina, Jr." cast members need to bring a white 100% cotton shirt to school by Wednesday, March 10th, to be tie-dyed. This shirt will be part of their costume.
SUMMER ACADEMIC CAMP: St. Agnes Academy has received information from Central Community College-Columbus, Nebraska about a summer academic camp. Students and parents of this year's 6th & 7th grade, interested in this activity, please visit with Mr. Christensen for more information. The camp will be held on July 18-23, 2010.
TRACK PRACTICE: Track practice at St. Agnes Academy will begin on Monday, March 22nd. All athletes must have their physicals in before the first practice. If you have questions please contact Coach Glesinger.
BINGO WORKERS: Bingo workers for Saturday, March 13th are from team 6: Melissa Brennan, Lori Brennan, Angela Kaping, Stacey Imig, Angela Isom, and Laurie Gould.
